This puzzle's semantic breakdown
"brain" is a clustering word this round. A top-10 mean of 0.626 means it's surrounded by close synonyms — "brains", "cerebrum", "cerebellum" being the tightest — so landing on the right direction pays off immediately.
The decay here is shallow — 0.757 to 0.427, only 0.33 apart. Upside: lots of warm words. Downside: they sit close together, so locking the exact one is a grind.
One easily-missed direction: "neocortex" scores 0.606 and ranks high, yet it isn't on the same path as "brains". Keep guessing the obvious synonyms and you'll skip past it — and these "doesn't-look-close-but-is" words often crack the puzzle.
